Your opportunity
This position is responsible for performing a variety of functions associated with maintaining all Investment reference data (securities, ratings, analytics, etc.) with the goal of providing accurate, timely data that is used for analytics, risk management, trading, finance, compliance, marketing, and client reporting.
Ensure the integrity and compliance of investment data through data cleansing, audits, and validation activities.
Maintain timely and accurate opening, closing, and updating of all investment reference data elements.
Establish improvement targets and assess the impact of data quality initiatives through qualitative and quantitative measures.
Conduct root-cause analysis for issues related to master data and implement or recommend corrective actions.
Propose strategies to enhance data integrity, quality, and availability across the organization.
Foster collaboration with IT, data stewards, and internal business units to streamline and transparently manage the use of master data.
Design testing protocols within stage environments to evaluate proposed changes to master data management.
Utilize data profiling tools in conjunction with IT and data stewards to identify data anomalies.
Support the development and ongoing refinement of operational policies and procedures.
Understand and align with internal stakeholders' requirements and business processes.
Create and maintain quality dashboards to monitor data errors, exceptions, and progress towards data quality benchmarks.
Participate in the design, testing, and launch of new processes or system enhancements, ensuring alignment with business needs and operational efficiency.
Ensure the enrichment and accuracy verification of asset records against recognized market data sources, supporting the trustworthiness of data utilized by fund managers and clients.
Validate the correct processing of trades in accordance with the security creation, enrichment, exception management, and post-alert procedures of Janus Henderson.
Collaborate with various business stakeholders to refine operational processes, enhance automation, and deepen understanding of utilized data points.
Facilitate the setup of new brokers and updates to client funds in Janus Henderson systems, following established procedures and leveraging data from the transitions and broker relations teams.
Oversee and maintain commission rules as directed by internal stakeholder teams.

Must have skills
Significant Investment and Operational Data Management experience within the financial services sector (preferably in the buy side)
Sophisticated knowledge of product and client data
Experienced in data operations approaches, quality practices in large financial organization(s)
1-2 years’ experience within the financial services industry with a focus on data management and quality
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
Nice to have skills
Advanced user of Excel (Macros / VBA would be beneficial)
Experience in interactions with Fair Value Pricing Committees. (Highly beneficial)
Knowledge of NAV production workflow (Buy Side experience advantageous)
Use of Charles River, Bloomberg, SQL, PowerBI
Degree plus other relevant industry qualifications is an advantage. Able to demonstrate technical growth and desire to learn and grow their knowledge and understanding.

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $60,000-70,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This role will remain open through September 30, 2024. Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
