General Purpose of the Position

The Healthcare Compliance Manager for DaVita Integrated Care and Technology supports DaVita's Physicians Solutions' CKD EHR by Epic electronic health record (EHR) platform and DaVita Integrated Kidney Care, our value-based care business.The Manager assists with and leads projects that support overall compliance initiatives as designated by the Compliance Director for these respective businesses.The position supports the day-to-day functions of the Compliance team including, but not limited to, understanding business needs, developing compliant solutions, reviewing and approving contracts with referral sources, developing and implementing policies and procedures, creating and conducting trainings, performing monitoring, and leading other compliance projects, as needed. The position also acts as a liaison for business partners and will provide guidance on compliance-related matters including, but not limited to, federal and state fraud and abuse laws and other healthcare regulatory laws.

Job Responsibilities: Leads compliance program for Physicians Solutions' CKD EHR by Epic electronic health record (EHR) platform including: Meet with business partners to seek to understand new initiatives and projects to identify potential compliance risk and develop risk mitigating solutions, as needed. Review new product release requirements. Conduct annual risk assessment. Lead Management Compliance Committee. Perform annual review of compliance policies, and make updates as needed. Conduct ad hoc compliance training to leadership and their teams. Review periodic monitoring audit results and partner with business to implement corrective actions, if needed. Partner with compliance audit team to scope audits and partner with business to implement corrective action. Review proposed customer contracts to ensure product offerings comply with the Anti-Kickback Statute, specifically to ongoing compliance with the EHR Donation safe harbor.

Supports compliance program for DaVita Integrated Kidney Care including: Meet with business partners to seek to understand new initiatives and projects to identify potential compliance risk and develop risk mitigating solutions, as needed. Support annual risk assessment. Support Management Compliance Committee. Review referral source arrangements to ensure compliance with compliance policies and the Anti-Kickback Statute. Complete special projects at request of Director and Deputy Chief Compliance Officer.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience required. Certificate in Healthcare Compliance preferred. Minimum of 3 yea s' experience working in compliance, legal, or professional firm preferred. Minimum of 1 year's healthcare compliance experience preferred developing a program in adherence to False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Statue regulations, including working knowledge of safe harbors. Ability to work independently on "ad-hoc" and routine assignments while managing time effectively and regularly meeting expected deadlines. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook required. Job Location: Denver. Travel required: Very limited
