General Summary The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the production of Pepperidge Farm branded Cookies and Crackers, including iconic brands such as Milano cookies and Goldfish crackers. This role involves managing all quality assurance processes, coordinating with various departments. In addition, this role will serve as the Food Safety, SQF practitioner for the entire site, gaining cross functional and business knowledge. ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. Position will report directly to Senior Manager, Site Quality Assurance.

Principal Accountabilities Provide technical expertise and leadership in food safety, quality, to the manufacturing organization to ensure all product meets FSQA standards. Manage internal/external/regulatory and SQF audit readiness via robust internal audit and corrective/preventive action programs. Support food safety continuous improvement efforts using CI tools (A3, FMEA, 5S etc.) for complaint reduction, holds reduction, program reassessments, improved data collection, coaching training for quality culture building. Develop and provide coaching, training, and troubleshooting for direct reports, building future leaders. Special project management and deliveries, (large capital improvements, major innovation launches).

Job Complexity Lead and manage the Cookies and Crackers Quality team including creating strategic and specific goals and objectives for all employees in food safety, employee safety policies and procedures; revising existing documents; determining food safety training needs, developing training programs, and executing them for all employees; maintaining document control databases; and coordinating document reviews. Lead site wide internal food safety audits and inspection programs including creating, coordinating, and scheduling. Coordinate training, qualification, and calibration of auditors, develop audit checklists, generate reports and follow-through with corrective action assignees to ensure CARs are completed, effectiveness is verified, and audits are closed. Participate in programs as an auditor/inspector. Function as SQF Program Practitioner for facility including scheduling, preparation, and leading execution of SQF audit. Ensure plant compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.). Respond to new or changes in regulations on policies, specifications, procedures, quality, and implications where utilized in a range of finished product. Serve as a HACCP/Food Safety Steering Team member and fulfill duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Site Quality Assurance. Identification of opportunities and design of plans for expanded use of the plant electronic data collection and quality analysis systems. Oversee compliance and continuous improvement of internal audit program ensuring regular internal audits and inspections to ensure complianc with food safety standards. Manage and respond to all food safety and quality incidents and customer complaints, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Prepare and present regular reports on quality metrics, trends, and areas of concern to senior management. Support plant programs, safety, reliability, and employee relationships. Support execution of Campbells Way of Working TPM program. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence within the team. Collaborate with cross functional leaders and team to build strong organizational quality culture. Investigations of in-plant quality incidents (foreign material, nonconforming product) and consumer complaints, identifying root causes and facilitating corrective action with plant teams. Use Envision software to access consumer complaint data.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in food science or a related science or other technical field. 5+ years of food industry quality plant/systems experience with demonstrated achievement in Quality leadership.

Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years managerial or direct leadership role. HACCP and PCQI Certifications. Experience in the food industry plant environment with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes. Expert abilities and decision quality in Food Safety, Regulatory, Process Improvement, Sanitation, Quality Systems, and their application within food processing. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF). Knowledge and general business acumen to support and influence RD, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Category Management processes including supplier partnerships that leverage best practices and technologies. Ability to partner with supply chain to effectively manage Supply Base to Expectations and Requirements Manual, Specifications, Non-Conformance resolution, Sanitation, improvement in KPI's, NFPA-SAFE audit targets and resolution of audit action plans. Strong organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills and computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office 360, (Power BI preferred)

Working Conditions Up to 5% travel. The employee is working a the manufacturing environment and is exposed to machinery, heat, changes in elevation, wet floors, cleaning chemicals, interfacing with powered industrial equipment as a pedestrian, and high noise levels on a routine basis.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between$85,900-$140,800

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
