Description
Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to assist with various accounting and financial tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and post journal entries
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Assist with payroll processing and reporting
Prepare financial statements and reports
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for financial fluctuations
Assist with internal and external audits
Perform other accounting and financial tasks as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance role
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
CPA or CPA candidate (preferred but not required)
