Engineer II

The Engineer II applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies. Analyzes, develops and evaluates systems. Improves and maintains current systems or creates brand new projects. Designs and drafts blueprints, visits systems in the field and manages projects. Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for creating test plans and experiments to challenge packaging designs and materials

  • Improve and manage packaging specifications, test methods, and standard operating procedures

  • Oversee and manage complete packaging projects in accordance to Niagara policies

  • Analyze engineering drawings and specifications of products to determine physical characteristics of items, special handling, environmental and safety requirements, and types of materials required for packaging.

  • Work closely with Global Suppliers, Project Engineers, Quality, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams.

  • Provide training to factory personnel on packaging tests and standards to drive a focus on packaging quality.

  • Travel requirement of 25%-50% is expected

  • Create detailed technical reports and business presentations to company management

  • Recommend cost-effective solutions to complex problems.

  • Supervise and coordinate internship projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment

  • 2 Years – Experience in Position

  • 2 Years – Experience managing people/projects

  • 4 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment

$84,337.00 - $122,289.00 / Yearly
