Description and Requirements
We are seeking a skilled and detail oriented Contract Administrator/Paralegal to support Lenovo’s worldwide legal, contracts, and sales functions to close contracts with clients headquartered in the America’s Group region (includes North America and LatAm).
Working as a part of a regional contract and legal hub dealing with “as a Service” and managed services contracts the successful candidate will be a pro-active, pragmatic, and commercially astute individual with experience in a sell-side paralegal / contract admin role.
The goal is to build a scalable regional contracts hub that improves time to contract whilst also minimizing value leakage and protecting the company via management of commercial, legal, and regulatory risk.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative contract and legal support to the Global Contracts Team and SSG Contract and Legal teams
Supports the NA and LATAM teams in client specific negotiations via provision of timely commercial and contract advice including negotiation of deals, handling a wide variety of contract requests including but not limited to
Issuing standard contract templates to the sales teams
Drafting, reviewing, red-lining and managing negotiations on
Project Change Controls,
Customer Statements of Work,
Supplier/Partner Statements of Work,
DocuSign Signature Requests
Contract Amendments
Contract Renewals
Liaise with Lenovo local / geo based legal counsel to ensure compliance with local law and regulation and to ensure aligned approach to legal issues
Comfortable with advising internal stakeholders including regional Sales Leaders and building cross functional relationships across departments e.g., sales, service, legal, Lenovo Financial Services, and worldwide geos/subsidiaries.
Provide document management services to ensure that the global contract repository is updated and maintained via use of CLM tools (ONIT), SharePoint etc.
Ensure compliance relevant company policies and procedures including legal governance / Delegation of Authority levels
Knowledgeable and current with standard contract clauses (e.g. copyright, indemnification, insurance). Majority of deals will be done under US law.
Experience with management of high-volume contracts/tasks.
Requirements
2-4 years experience of Contract Admin / Paralegal experience within a law firm or global technology company
Solid understanding of legal concepts with eithera Bachelor’s degree or a Paralegal Certificate (or equivalent) preferred.
Confident, self-starter, comfortable negotiating directly with sales teams, clients and/or third parties
Ability to work in a fast paced, ambiguous, and ever-changing environment
Detail oriented with strong project management and analytical skills
Experience in contract drafting and client facing negotiation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Fluent in written and spoken English (mandatory).
Fluent written and spoken Spanish would be considered a bonus
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Experience in IT Hardware / Equipment leasing would be considered an advantage
Tech-savvy and proficient with Microsoft Tools including Word, Excel and Microsoft Teams
Experience of subscription based “as a service” commercial models would be an advantage
Ability to anticipate, mitigate, minimize, and proactively manage risk
