Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in Downers Grove, Illinois. In this role, you will be tasked with the critical function of managing B2B collections, exercising strong communication and analytical skills to maintain the smooth operation of our credit processes.
Responsibilities:
• Handle B2B collections, utilizing your experience to ensure efficient and effective processes.
• Maintain open communication channels with customers to resolve credit inquiries and issues.
• Regularly monitor customer credit accounts to identify any delinquencies promptly.
• Take necessary action to collect delinquent payments, adhering to company guidelines and procedures.
• Adapt to changes in the work environment, procedures, priorities, and job duties, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of customer credit status, ensuring up-to-date and reliable information is available.
• Use your strong analytical skills to identify and resolve any potential issues in the credit process.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a consistent and high-quality credit service.
• Continuously seek ways to improve the credit processes, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team. Requirements • Proven experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role is necessary
• Must possess knowledge and experience in B2B collections
• Excellent knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques (e.g., skip tracing)
• Familiarity with relevant legal requirements
• Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
• Comfortable working with targets and tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Aptitude for negotiation and persuasion
• High degree of trustworthiness and ethical conduct
• Must possess a high school diploma; associate's/bachelor’s degree is a plus
• Knowledge of various collection techniques
• Familiarity with consumer credit and collection laws
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
