Job Description

The Technology team is responsible for the design & development of payment software for both client devices and server/gateway processing. Our products include retail, hospitality, gift, fuel and are used by customers mainly based in the UK & Ireland. We support multiple acquiring banks.

Our 2-year graduate program (undergraduate) will give you the opportunity to learn all aspects of the business and you will complete three rotations of 8 months:

  • Rotation 1: AWS Automation (Powershell)

  • Rotation 2: Automated Test Framework migration (Python)

  • Rotation 3: Pipeline / Build improvements (C++ / CMake / Clang)

Responsibilities for the role

  • Ensuring test hosts are regularly recreated – managing these refreshes themselves and getting to grips with the automation involved, fixing any issues where possible.

  • Helping with migration of legacy RobotFramework test in to Pytest (new test framework)

  • Reducing the size of our Production builds – we deliver a lot of old code as part of our builds, opportunity to revisit what’s no longer needed

  • Reducing friction for other Engineers – being on hand to assist when needed

Basic qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or masters in computer science , information technology, or a related field with a completion date of May 2023 or 2024

  • 1 year or less industry/technology experience

  • Ability to start graduate program on 2 Sept 2024

Location: Cherrywood (3 days office & 2 days home)
