We’re looking for product managers who will modernize Hertz’s mobile app and, in the process, ship delightful products to meet the ever-increasing demands of our customers.

As a Staff Product Manager for Hertz’s mobile app, you are responsible for driving mobile app adoption globally, which is a billion+ business unit. You will be partnering with engineering teams to build scalable solutions and ship features in a complex environment. You will contend with challenges such as modernizing legacy applications, managing technical debt, and integrating with various systems to enhance customer experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ship impactful products, including defining vision, strategy, outcome-driven product roadmaps of an app that is used by millions of consumers today

  • Internationalize app to expand to additional regions/countries

  • Improve overall adoption and user experience of the app

  • Define and prioritize product features that’s hypothesis driven

  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, business stakeholders and drive alignment on roadmap.

  • Navigate complex decision-making using both qualitative and quantitative data

  • Work closely with product design team to give customer the best UI/UX while considering technical limitation and business objectives

  • Guide the product engineering team to scope, plan and deliver work, applying established delivery methodologies (e.g., agile methods) and best practices (e.g., reusability).

  • Proactively identify and resolve blockers to achieve business objectives for the product, including technical and resourcing challenges.

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate product performance and proactively champion product improvements.

  • Monitor business, market, and technology trends to inform product strategy and proactively propose new solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

Skills & Competencies

  • Proven experience in building successful mobile apps, including deep knowledge of iOS and Android platforms

  • Experience building products with a global footprint

  • Ability to own strategy, roadmap, and execution of a product with significant complexity

  • Ability to identify meaningful components of competitive analysis that inform decisions for the mobile app portfolio and roadmaps

  • Strong product and project management skills to manage multiple products and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, including experience leveraging data to inform decision making and make appropriate tradeoffs.

  • Expertise in strategic thinking and strong business acumen. You must be able to align your work with broader business objectives.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.

  • Have track record of effective leadership and ability to influence others, including aligning a large group of stakeholders on an effective solution to a thorny problem.

  • Experience with product management & design tools like JIRA & Figma

  • Basic understanding of SQL and other analytics tools. Can pull own reports if necessary

Other Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science, Computer Engineering (or equivalent years of experience).

  • 8+ years of experience in the technology industry
