TAX MANAGER - International Company based in Duluth

My client, an international company based in Duluth, Georgia, is seeking a Tax Manager to join our team in Duluth, Georgia. This role will involve managing and overseeing the company's tax obligations, coordinating with external tax advisors, handling tax communications, and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. This role will coordinate with outside CPA firms and will oversee all tax communication while also working with the accounting department and assisting with ad hoc accounting duties.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for tax-related communications and inquiries.

• Follow and manage the tax schedule, ensuring all deadlines are met.

• Maintain and update the tax calendar to ensure timely compliance with all tax obligations.

• Oversee and review the work of sales and property tax consultants to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Provide guidance and support to consultants regarding tax laws and regulations.

• Stay up-to-date with current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

• Implement necessary changes and updates to internal processes based on new tax laws.

• Understand and manage the timing for tax provisions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

• Provide support to the accounting department with various accounting tasks and projects as needed.

• Assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, and audits, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

• Collaborate with the accounting team on special projects, process improvements, and system implementations.

• Respond to internal and external audit requests related to tax and accounting information.

Requirements

• Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field of study is required

• CPA certification is ideal

• Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tax Director/Manager in Corporate settings

• Possess strong expertise in Corporate Tax Compliance

• Have an in-depth knowledge of Corporate Tax Department operations

• Proficient in preparing and reviewing Corporate Tax Returns

• Familiarity with Tax Law is crucial

• Prior experience in developing and implementing Tax Planning Strategies

• Proficiency in Tax Research and Planning is required

• Experience in managing Tax Provisions is a must
