Our client, a nationally recognized and award-winning company in the health insurance vertical, has a contract opening for a Accounts Payable Analyst. They have over 4 million customers and 5,000+ employees dedicated to providing innovative solutions that simplify the healthcare system, improve efficiency and outcomes while reducing costs.

Location: ** While the position is Remote, work from home, you must reside in North Carolina or one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Contract Duration: 6+ Months

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required). In lieu of degree, 5-6 years of experience in related field

  • 3-5 years of A/P experience, this role is heavy data entry with Accounts Payable and you need to have strong A/P experience, you will be processing invoices for payment.

  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Teams for the remote work.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Workday Financial experience is a plus but not required.

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

  • Utilizes analytical skills to perform assigned tasks proactively and independently within deadlines

  • Prepare and analyze various AP reports to accurately execute 1099/Escheatment filings.

  • Develop, directs plan, and evaluate accounts payable policies and procedures, and ensure external and internal controls and policies are adhered to

  • Ensures compliance with state and government regulatory standards

  • Maintains W-9s files, coordinates year-end issuance and ensure compliance with IRS related regulations for Risk Management vendors

  • Train new hires and supports the cross training of team members on department processes and system enhancements and upgrades
