The primary responsibility is to promote fun, teach a basic knowledge of soccer. Coaches must follow the East Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department philosophy

Essential Job Functions
Be able to handle conflict in a professional manner with players, parents, and officials.
You must be available and committed to the entire sport season.
Conduct organized practices and teach the fundamental skills along with the rules for football.
Act as an adult role model and mentor.
Must possess a high degree of knowledge relating to the sport you are coaching including the rules and regulation.
Prior experience playing and coaching football is helpful but not required.
Supplemental information
Season Dates: Aug. 19- Oct.22, 2024
Transportation: Provide own transportation to practice and games
Field Location: EGR Manhattan Park
Practices: 2 -3 days a week Monday through Thursday
-(Coaches pic a 1 hour slot between 3:00pm-7:00pm
Game Days: Weekdays and/or Saturdays
