What You Will Do:
Hot Section Module Center is hiring New Product Introduction (NPI) Manufacturing Engineers to work with our CIPT teams as we prepare for advanced military and commercial development programs.
The selected candidates will have the opportunity to work in a high technology, advanced program environment incorporating the latest manufacturing readiness assessment tools. They will partner with engineering, operations, and suppliers to evaluate the most efficient and cost-effective part and process design. The ideal candidate will develop manufacturing process alternatives based on improved manufacturability and producibility. Primary location in East Hartford CT and up to 10% travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
Drive Mfg Readiness Level (MRL) progression of new products by identifying risks/opportunities and developing and completing mitigation plans
Create work instructions and routing summaries for development hardware
Perform technology and process development tasks; including, first piece runs, measurement system analysis and capability assessments
Implementation of lean process improvements activities to meet schedule and cost targets.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science or other related Bachelors’ degree
2+ years of engineering experience
CAD experience is required.
Must be a US Citizen due to Government Contracts
Qualifications We Prefer:
High level of proficiency in the application of continuous improvement tools: Process Certification, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, PFMEA, Six Sigma and/or Red-X.
Experience and knowledge of machining and assembly processes, including tool application.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
