As a Logistics Planning Analyst at the Peoria Proving Grounds (PPG), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our instrumentation assets. You will manage a variety of measurement devices and tools, ensuring their ISO compliance, traceability, and calibration. This position involves coordinating the preparation and return of instruments for testing, maintaining inventory levels, and overseeing the procurement and repair of equipment. Additionally, you will collaborate with the software development team to enhance our database systems. This role offers dynamic work environment where your meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills will directly contribute to the success of our testing operations.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage the ISO compliance, traceability, and calibration status of all instrumentation assets.

  • Oversee the preparation, inventory management, and return of instruments used in testing.

  • Coordinate procurement, repair, and calibration of instrumentation tools, including obtaining quotes and submitting requests.

  • Collaborate with the software development team to improve instrumentation database systems.

  • Communicate with other instrumentation cribs and teams to ensure efficient inventory management and operational coordination.

What You Have (Basic Qualifications):

  • Fundamental knowledge of computers and database usage. Mechanical and electrical aptitude to grow instrumentation knowledge.

  • Good interpersonal skills through phone, email, and in-person interactions. Detail-oriented personality, good organizational skills to manage physical assets, time management skills to simultaneously manage a variety of tasks.

  • Ability to problem solve and use different approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Top Candidates Will Have :

  • Working knowledge of Caterpillar VM software, asset management and database experience, familiarity with measurement devices.

  • Experience in inventory management; ability to effectively manage organization's materials, commodities, merchandises, or products.

  • Location: Peoria Proving Grounds (Washington, IL)

  • Limited domestic travel is expected.

  • Domestic relocation is not available for this role.

  • ISE assignments are not available.
