Job Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for the overall achievement of Syracuse's assembly operations execution. This position is responsible for leading the manufacturing team for safety, continuous improvement, lean methodologies, team dynamics, cost reductions. This position is responsible for the assembly of motors, the accuracy of the warehouse, the effective shipment of products both local and international and the logistics involved for each.

Job Description

1. Assure the continued improvement of operations with the direct labor force through active participation and communication.

2. Hire, manage and direct the direct labor force supporting all "make
product in Syracuse.

3. Provide order completion, revenue forecasts for every month. Cross-functionally develop monthly forecasts with the Plant Manager and cross functionally at a corporate level.

4. Develop and own cross training in the assembly area.

5. Develop improvement strategies consistent with the Company's long-term growth plan.

6. Develop and support manpower plans depending on sales growth.

7. Cross functionally collaborates with Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, and Finance personnel.

8. Keep current on all communications both internally and with customers (e-mail).

9. Develop knowledge of NIDEC products made in Syracuse. Work with the Plant Manager to ensure correct pricing is in place for all products made in Syracuse.

10. Train others in lean and continuous improvement activities.

Education and Qualifications

Essential
* Bachelor's degree is required. A Business Management or Engineering degree is desirable.

Desirable
* Bachelor's degree in manufacturing operations / supply chain / organizational management.

* Experience with an ISO9001:2015 Quality System
Experience

Essential
* 5+ years of experience in the manufacturing leadership field
* Experience managing a multi-culturally diverse population.
* Strong, demonstrated leadership abilities.
* Demonstrated ability to improve operations and reduce waste through team development.
* Excellent Communication skills

Languages

* English required.

Range: $90K - $136K Annually DO
