Job Description

ESG Operations, an Inframark Company, is hiring a Customer Service Representative in Eatonton, GA. We would ask you to provide administrative, organizational, and customer support. The position works under general supervision and will interact with the company’s customers by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints. This is a face-to-face customer service position working in our offices in Eatonton. Candidates who are bilingual in English/Spanish are encouraged to apply.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Maintain a computer terminal that contains payments, daily reports, work orders, etc.

  • Receives payment via mail, night box, and/or hand- delivery. Enter payments on computer, balance reports and process daily reports.

  • Prepare bank deposits and balance cash drawers.

  • Interacts with customers via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on products or services.

  • Answer multiple phone lines.

  • Assist with processing delinquent accounts. Can consist of adding charges to customers’ accounts, working with the outside technicians for cut-offs and cut-ons, maintaining the cut-off list and preparing the cut-on list.

  • Collects and enters orders for new or additional products or services.

  • Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff.

  • Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers’ problems and concerns.

  • Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or GED equivalency. The equivalent of one year of college or specialized vocational training in business management, computer technology, clerical skills, or a closely related field. Must have a valid state driver’s license and meet minimum driving standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills including active listening.

  • Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.

  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.

Working conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
