Job Overview:

This role is the program Manager for Care 24 (nurse triage incident reporting line) and responsible for connecting our FirstService Residential associates to the proper support for a work related injury. The role will work closely with the business, the 3rdparty partner and the Leader of Worker's Compensation (WC) to adhere to WC policy and associate experience.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Oversees and administers the region’s workers’ compensation program and is the direct liaison between the field, the 3rdparty managed care provider, and the WC insurance carrier.
  2. Manages the administration of workers’ compensation insurance program to include costs and analytics for the WC Director and leadership team.
  3. Provides information and assistance to executive safety committee in partnership with Safety and HR.
  4. Manages discovery requests of litigated claims and acts as the liaison with the attorneys.
  5. Updates the policies and procedures for workers’ compensation and is responsible to maintain updated knowledge of all WC State laws/regulations.
  6. Provides assistance and guidance to departments regarding workers’ compensation and may support safety.
  7. Conducts research and prepares a variety of statistical and administrative reports.
  8. Assists leadership and associates with claim issues.
  9. Partners with National Risk Team.
  10. Builds and maintains a positive relationship with State OSHA departments to report and respond to OSHA issues timely.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field. 7 plus years of experience in the field of Workers’ Compensation. 3rd party partnerships and/or Care 24 preferred. Understanding of safety and/or Safety experience a plus.
  • Efficient Computer Skills
  • Basic Microsoft Programs; Knowledge or work in Risk Programs
  • Travel throughout the multi-state region including overnight travel may be expected

Physical Requirements:

  • Driving may be necessary at times
  • Long periods of time sitting
  • Long periods of time doing computer work and video calls

Compensation:

$60,000 to $70,000 annually
