We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Director to lead all the exciting and innovative productions of our video team. As a Director, you will be the mastermind behind the scenes, responsible for overseeing the entire creative process and ensuring the delivery of captivating and engaging video content that aligns with our brand identity and business objectives.

In this thrilling role, you will collaborate closely with a diverse group of talented individuals, including writers, designers, producers, videographers, studio personnel, editors, and clients. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Creative Strategy:

  • Develop and implement the creative vision and strategy for video production and corporate studio team, aligning it with the company's brand guidelines and objectives

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge

  • Team Leadership:

  • Provide leadership to the creative team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment

  • Set clear goals and expectations, manage workloads, and ensure timely delivery of projects

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement and success within the team

  • Lead by example, embodying the company's values and promoting a high standard of professionalism and excellence within the team

  • Concept Development:

  • Lead the ideation and concept development process for video projects, ensuring they are compelling, engaging, and aligned with the target audience

  • Collaborate with producers, writers, designers, editors and other team members to develop and refine concepts that effectively communicate key messages

  • Creative Direction:

  • Provide creative direction throughout the production process, guiding the team in visual storytelling, composition, design, lighting, editing, animation, and other aspects of video production

  • Ensure the final output meets the highest standards of quality, creativity, and brand consistency

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, leveraging the strengths of team members to maximize productivity and efficiency

  • Client Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their objectives, requirements, and preferences, ensuring their satisfaction with the final video products

  • Present and articulate creative ideas, concepts, and strategies to clients, addressing any feedback or concerns

  • Budget and Resource Management:

  • Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and adherence to financial guidelines

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and resource optimization to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness

  • Assist in creative problem solving at the initial request stage, offering creative ways to accomplish the requestor’s needs within their project constraints and budgets

  • Track and update workstream progress in team project management application

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of proven experience in video production or related field (creative or advertising agency, commercial & motion picture), with 5+ years directing video or in a similar role

  • Extensive video and brand experience that includes Fortune 500 companies

  • Solid understanding of marketing principles and ability to align creative concepts with business goals

  • Expert in video editing software, tools and techniques

  • Proven portfolio demonstrating expertise in live action production, motion graphic design, storytelling, and creative direction

  • Proven compassionate leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven stellar presentation skills, with the ability to develop materials that articulate creative concepts and ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Proven attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards

  • Current or upon hire residence within a commutable distance to Eden Prairie, MN

  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications

  • Knowledge of Adobe Workfront
