EMPLOYER: Optum Services, Inc. JOB TITLE: Software Engineer LOCATION: 11000 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.) DUTIES: Design, develop, and modify, Optum applications for the healthcare industry. Duties include: implement Agile software development and automation across all technology platforms; develop technical specifications/design documents as defined in application/system designs and are clearly and comprehensively documented, understood and traceable to business requirements; analyze/fixes defects identified in testing, including root cause analysis; work with teams to review and provide feedback on test plan and scenarios; engage with product; support all phases of the SDLC and deploys code to higher environments and collaborates with other in support of the deployment plan; provide on-going expertise to operational support groups and IT teams; participate and support of project teams; implement portions of project plans; identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems; solve complex problems and/or conducts complex analyses; provide guidance to the teams during product refinement, analysis, solution, and delivery of the work; and observe and update policies related to our Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S. REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Computer Information Systems or related field and Two (2) years in the job offered or related computer occupation. Position requires 2 years of experience in the following: Agile and DevOps methodologies; creating & owning business-enabling multiple technology roadmaps; building web applications; RESTful web services; C#, HTML, and JavaScript; J2EE, Objective C, and Python; Postgres, Oracle, and SQL; and Cloud Platforms such as Azure.
