Location: Edgerton, Wisconsin

Salary Range: $20.00/hour to $30.00/hour

THE MODULAR TEAM

Modular solutions by CEI anticipate and solve ongoing problems for data center operators. Our proven, factory-built and tested data center infrastructure products bring deployments online faster, more reliably, and with less risk than conventional methods.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working in compliance with Cupertino's core values of Safety, Integrity, Innovation, Excellence, and People First, the person in this role will work closely with manufacturing on first piece, in-process, and final inspection. Will monitor supply base and in-house processes for conformance of product. Will issue, track, and verify corrective actions requested from internal and/or customer, and issued to our supply base.

  • Receiving Inspection

  • Originate, Investigate, and communicate Non-Conformances

  • Non-Conforming product review and NC Log maintenance

  • Create, Communicate, Update Quality Alerts

  • Participate in process improvement planning

  • Participate in new product launch quality planning

  • Maintain customer required system(s) and drive issues to closure

  • Final Inspection of Product

  • Maintain and monitor monthly supplier performance

  • Issue and track SCARs

  • Issue and track ICARs

  • Monitor internal processes compliance via process walks

  • Be a team player and willing to be professionally vocal as issues are highlighted

ABOUT YOU

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent verbal and written communicator

  • Have an understanding of general inspection practices and data analysis

  • Ability to use simple inspection tools/gages, caliper, tape measure, square, etc

  • Able to read manufacturing drawings and understand tolerances

  • Problem solving and diagramming skills

  • Keen sense to detail

  • Goal oriented

  • Proven track record for driving process improvement

  • Self-starter

  • Work with minimum supervision

  • Willingness to help others

  • Working Knowledge of ISO 9001

  • Familiarity with on-line meeting platforms, Teams, Skype, Google Hangouts, etc.

  • Be able to learn other computer programs deemed necessary by customer or internal demands

  • Experienced in leading problem-solving teams

  • Working knowledge of 8D and 5 Why problem-solving techniques

  • Control plan and PFMEA development

  • Able to think things through prior to making judgment on root cause

  • Must look for what caused an issue rather than who caused it

  • Be forward looking-prevent rather than react

GENERAL WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Able to travel local and nationally (10%)

  • Mostly in assembly plant however, traveling to vendors which may be loud and/or dirty, is possible

  • May be required to sit/stand at desk/computer, and/or walk the production floor for extended time

  • May be required to work on job site in all kind of weather

  • Hard Hat, Gloves, Safety Glasses and appropriate foot ware (supplier or job site-Safety toe)

  • Lifting 25lbs not uncommon

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Licensure/Certifications: n/a

Experience: 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing or construction. Minimum 3 yrs. in a quality role
