Job Description
The Controls System Lead (CSL) is tasked with support within the fulfillment center operations, focusing on maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying material handling controls systems equipment to ensure operational performance. This includes conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and SCADA devices and programs. Key responsibilities include maintaining and modifying software programs for material handling control systems, acting as first-level escalation support, monitoring metrics, partnering with operations for system performance issues, and training team members on control systems.
Hard Skills
Ability to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify AB RS LOGIX 5000 PLC's and PLC components
Industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting (480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, 24VDC systems)
Ability to interpret and modify mechanical and electrical drawings
SCADA systems and KPI usage
PLC programming, control layouts, schematics
Soft Skills
Ability to escalate issues effectively
Strong communication skills

This is a permanent position.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Edison, New Jersey.
Work Environment
The role includes a mandatory 2-week training at a nearby site or designated training location, with provided accommodations if over 50 miles from the location. The facility is equipped with top-of-the-line technology, where the CSL will oversee all control systems and manage a team of 3 Controls Technicians, being part of a larger maintenance team. The position requires working during holidays and being on-call for pressing issues.
