We are seeking a dedicated Cook to do kitchen prep, jump in the line and join our kitchen staff. The right applicant knows how to move in a kitchen, understands the importance of strong communication, and loves to daydream about delicious things they want to eat or cook.

We are looking for a dedicated individual, with a track record of reliability and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and cooking by following recipes and portion guidelines.
• Weekly planning of menu inventory to ensure shop has items prepped ahead of time for a successful week.
• Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are maintained in the kitchen
• Ensure all menu items are labeled and dated
• Effectively communicates with shop manager on menu item stock and needs.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to streamline preparation and service.
• Utilize knife skills for efficient chopping and slicing of ingredients.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure a smooth workflow.
• Support kitchen staff with daily duties.
• Cook on the line as needed

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or culinary setting
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of food handling and safety practices
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Familiarity with grill and fryer station

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
