POSITION: Cook
DUTIES: * Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene standards: Wear an apron, comfortable long pants and flat, rubber-soled shoes. Long hair to be worn up and secured (clip, hair band, tie or hair net) etc. * Assist in the preparation of wholesome and attractive meals according to recipes provided * Assist in the service of food. * Assist in the transportation of food and supplies where necessary * Assist in cleaning and storing cafeteria utensils, equipment and food supplies * Assist the manager with maintaining inventory of supplies for all sites as applicable * May assume the responsibility of operation in the absence of the manager; including completing the daily menu production records for state reporting, and student meal participation. * May be responsible for the opening or closing procedures of the kitchen each day * Other related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS: * High School Diploma or Equivalent, including GED or work experience. * Ability to maintain required licensing through state, local or federal guidelines for food safety
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of; * Proper method of preparing and cooking foods in large quantities * Basic kitchen methods, appliances and utensils * Safety and sanitation principles applicable to food service and kitchen maintenance
WAGE: $17.00-$20.94
SHIFTS: Part-Time; 3 hours a day; 170 contract days
