Summary: The Human Resource Coordinator will support HR processes at all BA-US business locations, reporting directly to the HR Manager. The HR Coordinator will aid the facilitation of benefits, onboarding, policies & handbook updates, employee engagement planning, and international visa support. As HR Coordinator, a primary responsibility will be acting as the first point of contact in the recruitment process by vetting resumes and screening candidates. This role provides administrative support to BA-US headquarters, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

Education & experience:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Communications, Organizational Development, or related discipline of study

  • Or 1+ years of experience working in the HR field

  • SHRM-CP credential (preferred)

    Qualifications:

  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

    Job Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the first point of contact with the talent acquisition process -- vetting resumes, conducting initial candidate screenings, tracking the status of candidates in HRIS, and responding with follow-up communications to candidates and hiring managers.

  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the HR Manager.

  • Supports the onboarding process through internal and external communication, preparation for the new hire’s start date, and preparing the onboarding schedule.

  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.

  • Administers benefits plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations, processes required documents, and communicates with brokers to ensure accurate record-keeping.

  • Supports routine updates to HR policies, procedures, and handbook updates.

  • Assists with communication, research, and gathering of documentation for supporting BAR (German parent company) expat visa applications.

  • Organizes and executes employee engagement events and related company initiatives.

  • Files documents into appropriate employee files, compliance documentation, and other related matters.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
