Position summary:

The Territory Sales Representative for Dental is a position designed to increase sales of chairside materials in the territory. The Territory Sales Representative will represent Kuraray chairside products to the dentist and dental laboratory as well as schools and government institutions when the opportunity presents itself.

The Territory Sales Representative will develop and implement a customer contact plan to communicate product launches and engage the potential customers in relevant sales campaigns to build new relationships. Act as first point of contact for customer queries and complaints and resolve them, referring complex issues to others and ensuring that the customer receives an appropriate response.

The Territory Sales Representative will identify the products or services that best meet the customer\'s stated needs, use personal expertise to propose quantities and product configurations, explain the selection to the customer, and invite the customer to make a purchase at the standard price/terms and conditions of sale.

The Territory Sales Representative will develop a monthly action plan to fill in an activity report describing visits and results to order to quantify and evaluate success and areas of development.

This position will require about 70% outside sales activity but it will be based in a high population area where the travel will be mainly by car, requiring minimal air travel other than to attend trade shows or training.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with dentists to promote our products, either through lead follow up, direct contact or through dealer rep connection.
  • Connect to schools to promote the introduction of products to the clinics and establish relationships with potential KOLs.
  • Collaborate with corresponding laboratory rep in promoting programs and products to laboratories in common territory.
  • Attend local, dealer, and the occasional national trade shows.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.A. in Communications, Marketing, Business or relevant degree
  • Basic product knowledge and understanding of dental product applications and existing relationships in t he local dental community would be ideal.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, creative thinking, consulting, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving/decision-making skills.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Candidates must have a valid drivers license.
