Position Summary:Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is looking for a per diem, or as-needed, Technician to work in our Emergency Department. Predominantly working open shifts dependent on department needs.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
§ Work shifts as assigned in the hospital ER on a rotating schedule.
§ Rotating shifts in the hospital will be performed in compliance with the CAN or MAPE Competencies/Scope of Practice.
§ Is able to properly utilize medical guidelines, standards, and policies and procedures to provide patient care.
§ Can adjust patient care to reflect patient changes.
§ Can recognize and relay problems, as well as well as initiate a problem-solving process.
§ Care of potentially critical adults and pediatric trauma and medical patients.
§ Certifications must be maintained, and class schedules must not interfere with shifts without prior approval.
§ Must be familiar with and follow all company policies, procedures, and protocols.
§ Proficient in safety procedures, equipment uses and skills performance consistent with scope of practice.
§ Always provide the highest level of customer service and patient relations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:Graduate of a Program in Discipline preferred.**
*License and Certifications: *Must have a Current NV CNA License, or Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EKG Certificate of Achievement (MAPE). American Heart Association (AHA) BLS within 60 days of date of hire. Previous basic arrhythmia course preferred.
*Experience: *Previous experience working in a clinical capacity preferred.
