Singer HR Business Partner in Elverson, Pennsylvania

Overview

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for providing HR support and consultation to assigned Contracts, Corporate and Distribution units. The HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and serves as a consultant to management with responsibility for employee relations, performance management, compensation planning, training, and implementation, as well as acts as a liaison for managers and HR Operations Team. The HRBP also supports the talent acquisition team to successfully on-board and assimilate new hires.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Contracts, Corporate and Distribution leaders to understand their department's goals, challenges, and growth plans. Translate these insights into HR strategies that drive the achievement of business objectives.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Handle employee relations matters, conflict resolution, development, and disciplinary actions, ensuring fair and consistent treatment.

  • Conduct internal investigations into compliance-related concerns, such as harassment, discrimination, and ethical violations, following established protocols.

  • Time to time partner with the Talent Acquisition team to identify staffing needs and participate in candidate interviews.

  • Implements company-wide rewards and recognition initiatives.

  • Responsible for reviewing and approving job descriptions

  • Support the onboarding process for new hires and ensure that it is smooth.

  • Support managers in setting performance expectations, conducting regular performance reviews to enhance employee performance and career growth.

  • Partner with the Leadership and Development team and business leaders in identifying training and development needs within their departments, and potentially assist with coordinating resources to enhance employee skills and competencies.

  • Partner with business leaders in assessing their organizational structure and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and effectiveness. Contribute to change management initiatives.

  • Collaborate with the Humans Resources Operations team and business leaders to ensure that salary structures remain competitive and aligned with industry standards.

  • Utilize data and metrics to analyze trends, identify insights, and make informed recommendations for HR strategies, workforce planning, and improvements.

  • Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives within the organization, working to create an equitable and inclusive work environment.

  • Stay current with labor laws and regulations, ensuring that all HR practices and policies adhere to legal requirements.

  • Responsible for facilitating new hire orientation as well as other strategic HR courses.

  • Assists with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Management, Organizational Development, or related degree preferred.

  • 4-6 years of direct HRBP experience in coaching business leads / managers in:

  • Organizational development, performance management, & succession planning.

  • Resolving employee relations & managing termination processes.

  • Streamlining HR functions and reporting HR metrics within assigned business units and departments.

  • Workforce planning and staffing needs.

  • Ensuring employee wellness, diversity, equity, and inclusion and ensuring compliance with regulations and federal and state respective employment laws.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSWork requires sitting for extended periods of time while operating a computer, standing, walking and moving throughout the office and telework environment; requires driving and valid driver’s license; talking; seeing (specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus); hearing; feeling; bending or stooping; squatting or crouching; reaching; kneeling; pushing; pulling; lifting. In addition, job site visits may include walking or standing most of the time and requires frequent bending, stooping, and twisting (for example, taking field measurements).

WORKING CONDITIONSTypically works in an office and telework environment. The core hours of this position are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. However, some evening and weekend hours may be required to meet business demands.
