Essential Functions of The Job:

The Global Clinical Operations Learning Management Administrator provides technical leadership in the support of our Site-Specific training portal - learning management system (LMS). This position is responsible for the support, design, development, implementation, delivery, and maintenance of site facing portals, content, assets, assignments, and other resources used for investigator sites. The Manager, Learning Management System Administrator supports the implementation of all system updates and upgrades, as well as tools and software integrated with the Site-Specific training LMS.

General:

  • Support the global training process of the Study Specific Site training, including administration of the LMS portal, and audit needs.

  • Delivers LMS administration with additional focus of study, site and location specific parameters.

  • Configures community site portals within the LMS including functionality, appearance, tabs, and settings.

  • Helps coordinate the communication, testing, installation, and migration to new versions of the LMS.

  • Identifies and communicates opportunities for process and quality improvements, providing feedback on usage, defects, and suggested enhancements.

  • Authors and maintains internal GCO L&P technical procedures and policy documentation.

  • Creates, modifies, and updates public facing and internal documentation related to the LMS.

  • Acts as an internal subject matter expert by analyzing data and recommending solutions to utilize the LMS to deliver, track training and measure performance to meet site specific training needs organizational objectives.

  • Maintains, catalogs, and communicates about known issues, user needs, and feature requests that pertain to the LMS.

User Management:

  • Creates user logins as needed and assigns user permissions including integration with CTMS and TCL.

  • Creates and manages user structures including the creation of organizations by user groups, studies, sites, regional locations and study learning cohorts.

  • Creates Study Portals in the LMS.

  • Manages course enrollment including progress tracking.

Course Management:

  • Publishes and archives online or blended learning solutions, assigns training curricula, and adds and deletes resources.

  • Populates course information and assigns learners.

  • Develops and updates standardized tools and reporting for ongoing access to learning information; generates standard and custom reports.

Troubleshooting:

  • Reviews and monitors system performance.

  • Provides troubleshooting assistance for users in GCO function and sites regarding logging in to the LMS and accessing courses.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues relating to system functionality and software systems, escalation to GTS if not resolved GCO L&D internally.

  • Collaborates with GTS to ensure expeditated resolution for system degradation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of LMS administration experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a SumTotal LMS administrator or in similar position.

  • Technical skills including troubleshooting, and understanding of directory, file structures, and systems.

  • Ability to create training reports for study and site level GxP compliance monitoring.

  • Supports communication and change management activities for training implementations.

  • Strong project coordination skills: ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify patterns and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Experience supporting the learning and development operations needs of a Global Clinical operations organization.

  • Availability to take evening and early morning teleconferences.

Computer Skills

  • Highly skilled in SumTotal LMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat. Strong experience with SharePoint, Smartsheet a plus.

Travel

  • Remote role with travel dependent on business need/environment
