Position Summary
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. You install hardware, software and participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of Newman Regional Health. The System Administrator will actively resolve issues with computer and server systems to limit the work disruption.
Essential Functions/ Job Duties
- Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department managers
- Coordinate with network administration, business application, and database administration functions to implement and manage desktop and server systems, infrastructure, and processes which utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives
- Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
- Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases
