Unilever Associate Brand Manager, Breyers Innovation in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey

Background and Purpose of the Job

We are looking for an intelligent, innovative, and creative Marketer with a passion for brands. The ideal candidate will drive the business forward with out-of-the-box ideas, strong leadership of a cross-functional team, and by challenging the status quo to get things done more efficiently. This position will require an in-depth understanding of brand development, which includes market trends, consumer insight, and category dynamics. The role will require both strategic thinking and executional excellence to continue growing Breyers.

With over $800 million in annual sales, Breyers is our largest Unilever Ice Cream brand and is critical to the success of our Unilever Ice Cream category. Breyers has a robust innovation agenda, making this role highly visible and important.

Who You Are and What You’ll Do:Associate Brand Manager for Breyers Innovation will be held accountable for leading development of new products and packaging:

  • Supporting the development of Brand’s Innovation Pipeline. Work with a cross functional team to ensure product mix is launched on time and in full, in line with key customer timing.

  • Partner with R&D and Supply Chain to manage product and packaging transitions, improvements, and updates.

  • Partner closely with the Operations marketing team to ensure flawless execution in market.

  • Day to Day management includes:

  • Run and conduct market analysis to understand market trends and opportunities

  • Feedback from quality and consumer engagement teams

  • You’re a born leader: This position requires strong leadership skills as you will interact with cross-functional business partners, brand partners in multiple categories as well as agencies. Having a vision and strategic intent will be critical to deliver impactful communications and creative.

  • You generate powerful insights: Our work starts with understanding what drives our consumers to purchase, and crafting plans based on those insights, including nuances based on the shopping occasion and retail channel. This position will require the ability to write up and validate consumer concepts for innovations and communications.

Ideal Experience:

  • Bachelor degree required, MBA a plus

  • 2-3 years’ experience CPG innovation workstreams

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Understanding of digital and e-commerce

  • Clear demonstration of successful, consistent delivery to the business

  • Clear demonstration of project management & leadership skills

  • Experience working with agencies and media partners

  • Experience working with different customer channels

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and to provide innovative approaches in a team-based structure

  • Ability to deliver both verbal and written communication in a simple, compelling manner.

  • Ability to think strategically, both from a brand and portfolio view

Pay: The pay range for this position is $84,400 to $126,600. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
