Unilever Associate Brand Manager, Klondike Ice Cream Innovation in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey

We are looking for an intelligent, innovative and creative Marketer with a passion for brands. The ideal candidate will drive the business forward with out of the box ideas, strong leadership of the cross-functional team and challenge the status quo to get things done more efficiently. This position will require an in-depth understanding of brand development, which includes market trends, consumer focus, and category dynamics. The role will require both strategic thinking and understanding of logistical execution to continue to nurture Klondike brand love and role in consumer’s lives.

Who You Are and What You’ll Do:The Associate Brand Manager for Klondike Innovation will be held accountable for leading the Innovation, Communication, Future-Fit Brand Strategy across the North American business. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and Manage Innovation Pipeline with a cross functional team to ensure product mix is launched on time and in full, across a complex global supply chain.

  • Lead trend work and consumer research by partnering with Insights team to conduct research on new innovation, product concepts, & communication assets

  • Partner with R&D to manage product and packaging transitions, improvements and updates.

  • Partner closely with Operations marketing team to ensure flawless execution in market

  • Lead inspiring, unmissable brand communication, from creative agency briefings through to the development of final assets

  • Klondike has a robust, yet complex portfolio with multiple manufacturing sites across product formats. You will be tasked with leading Klondike future strategy work, including the management of each product segment, long-term capacity forecast planning, & detailed financial analyses

  • Day to Day management includes:

  • Run and conduct market analysis to understand market trends and opportunities

  • Daily cross-functional innovation team leadership

  • Weekly management of feedback from quality & consumer engagement teams

  • Budget & invoices

  • You’re a born leader: This position requires strong leadership & influencing skills as you will interact with cross-functional business partners, brand partners in multiple categories as well as agencies. Having a vision and strategic intent will be critical to deliver impactful communications and creative.

  • You generate powerful insights: Our work starts with understanding what drives our consumers to purchase, and crafting plans based on those insights, including nuances based on the shopping occasion and retail channel. This position will require the ability to write up and validate consumer concepts for innovations and communications.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field required

  • At least 2-3 years of marketing experience in consumer products industry, preferably with experience in innovating new products, strategic thinking and brand communications

  • Ability to think strategically and brings results in a fast-changing business environment

  • Ability to project manage across multiple timelines and priorities

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong Bias for Action & Accountability both for self and others

Pay: The pay range for this position is $84,400 to $126,600. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
