Insight Global MRI and CT - Clinical Science Specialist in Englewood, Colorado

Job Description

Our client is a network of imaging centers built and managed through a partnership with HealthOne. Our imaging centers are conveniently located throughout the South Denver area and offer a variety of exams using state of the art equipment. Our services include MRI, CT, digital mammography, ultrasound, pain management, DXA, X-Ray, and image guided biopsies. Our mission is to improve the health of patients in the communities we serve by proving them with the highest quality imaging and associated medical care.

General Job Responsibilities:

Act as liaison between relevant stakeholders, including radiologists, leadership teams, technologists, and other external business partners to ensure clear communication about relevant clinical and technical matters and to establish efficient and effective workflows.

Establish, write, implement, test, and monitor and adjust CT and MRI procedural protocols in accordance with ACR and other applicable standards; ensure protocols are consistent with macros.

Advise and consult on accreditation and regulatory compliance processes.

Select appropriate CT and MRI images to include in accreditation applications.

Strong familiarity with MRI safety considerations and ability to work with MRI safety leadership to resolve issues on an ad hoc advisory basis.

Provide expert recommendations regarding clinic and hospital CT and MRI equipment purchases and assist with implementation and integration.

Work with vendors on product development and evaluation, as needed.

Collaborate with the CT/MRI Modality Lead Technologist to ensure the competency of new CT and MRI technologists.

Provide regular continuing education, mentoring, and evaluations for CT and MRI technologists to ensure service excellence, including a competency assessment administered at least annually for each technologist.

Perform quarterly image quality review (IQR) audits of CT and MRI studies to address quality concerns directly with technologist, the immediate supervisor and the facility through the medical director.

Partner with marketing team as a technical expert to continuously develop the CT and MRI service lines.

Attend relevant tradeshows and symposiums to remain abreast of new developments and enhance practice standards in CT and MRI.

Assist clinical research team in evaluating relevant research opportunities.

Serve as the Magnetic Resonance Safety Expert (MRSE) and collaborate with the Magnetic Safety Medical Director (MRMD) and Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer (MRSO) as the ISJ MRI Safety Subcommittee to the Quality and Patient Safety Committee (QPSC) leadership.

Co-Chair with the CT/MRI Lead Technologist the CT Safety Subcommittee to the Quality & Patient Safety Committee (QPSC).

Additional duties as assigned

The pay ranges between $104K to 120K. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

Experience/Skill Requirements:

Ten (10) years of experience as a CT and MRI Technologist, required.

Five (5) years of experience as a clinical science specialist or related position, required.

Intermediate understanding of radiology business systems and interactions between them

Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to communicate complex nuances of CT and MRI technology to different groups with different educational levels.

Ability to effectively use presentation media (PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Basic understanding of the internet with ability to research and locate information.

Requires a valid Colorado drivers license and acceptable driving record.

Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the Denver Metro area.

Willingness to travel to RIA rural sites within Colorado and out of state.

Education Requirements:

A Bachelors degree in radiologic technology or related field, required.

American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or comparable advanced certification in CT, required.

American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or comparable advanced certification in MRI, required. null
