Volt is NOW HIRING a Systems Assembly Technician in Englewood, Co. This successful candidate will have 3-5 years of practical wiring experience and troubleshooting measurement controls.

Compensation: $25/Hr.

Schedule: Monday-Friday / 8AM- 5PM

Job Summary

Responsible for the assembly of custom-engineered systems using project drawings, including modifications and changes during the build phases. Work inside a small shop team environment, using your hands to build million-dollar systems for one of the top companies producing Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS).

Key Responsibilities: Assemble custom-engineered systems using project drawings. Modify and change systems during build phases. Work with power tools, drilling, tapping, and pneumatic plumbing using soft and rigid tubing. Build devices from blueprints and troubleshoot and repair control instruments and devices when needed. Work with compressed air and gas pressures exceeding 100psi and with voltages from 12vdc to 480vac. Read and interpret formal blueprints and drawings. Occasionally travel for field service start-up of engineered systems (not required). Work overtime when schedules demand. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proficiency with power tools and basic machining techniques. Ability to work independently or with supervision. Experience with wiring to terminal blocks, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and troubleshooting measurement controls. Familiarity with digital and analog logic and devices. Understanding of basic machining and calibration techniques for mechanical component assembly. Education/Formal Training: Approved apprenticeship or equivalent vocational school in electrical and electronics or associated field. 2-year technical degree or military experience is highly desirable. 3-5 years of practical wiring experience and troubleshooting measurement controls. Material/Equipment Used: Fully equipped tool cabinet with electrical/electronic tools. Basic hand power tools and soldering stations. Forklift operation desired or will be trained. Small machine shop with pipe threader, drill press, sander, grinder, etc. Working Environment/Physical Abilities: Clean, industrial temperature-controlled area. Must be able to lift 70 lbs., stoop, bend, reach comfortably, and use ladders and various hand tools. Must be able to stand for extended periods.
