Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller in ERIE, Pennsylvania. This role is primarily focused on managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of our financial statements and internal controls.

Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing jobs in a timely manner while providing relevant costing information and analyzing completed jobs for efficiency and profitability.

• Preparing financial statements that adhere to industry standards, management requirements, and accounting principles.

• Verifying standard costs for Material to last purchased cost and adjusting costs as necessary.

• Coordinating year-end physical inventory counts, system adjustments, and year-end costing of inventory on hand.

• Assisting with budgeting and developing financial reporting and planning systems.

• Tracking fixed asset additions and dispositions and preparing monthly depreciation journal entries.

• Analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts monthly.

• Providing additional assistance with the accounting functions such as managing cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll as needed.

• Maintaining controls to ensure compliance with tax regulations, completing and filing all required certifications and reports.

• Hiring, teaching and developing staff, and training them in Company procedures.

• Performing other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services and ERP Solutions.

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC), Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Knowledge of Auditing, Budget Processes, and Manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong Communication skills. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role as an Assistant Controller or related financial position

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is preferred

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven experience in Auditing

• Ability to manage Budget Processes

• Knowledge of the Manufacturing sector is a bonus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Strong Communication skills for effective team coordination and interaction with clients.
