Position Summary:

The Associate Quality Engineer is responsible for quality inspections and for monitoring of operations for compliance to client and regulatory requirements. The position is for second (6PM-4:30AM) or third (6AM-4:30PM) shift and based in our Erlanger, KY Distribution Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts End of Route document review and publishes results, including ensuring Plasma Transportation Drivers training documentation is complete.
  • Manages client unit pulls to ensure compliance to SOPs.
  • Conducts inspection and release process of shipments, including but not limited to verification of temperature device placement and actively recording, verifying shipping paperwork for accuracy and adherence to client requirements.
  • Programs temperature devices for outbound shipments, as per client requirements.
  • Conducts facility inspection records to ensure compliance to SOPs.
  • Provides temperature certification documentation to clients on a timely basis, as requested.
  • Assists with the Erlanger CAPA program to ensure that all non-conformances are documented, and corrective/ preventive actions are taken when required.
  • Assist with calibration and alarm testing to ensure compliance to SOPs.
  • Review weekly temperature graphs from Facility Temperature Monitoring System.
  • Assists with special projects and other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager.

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

Education/Training -

2 year associates degree or similar experience preferred.

Business Experience -

Prior quality inspection experience preferred.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills -

Ability to express ideas clearly both in written and oral communications. Ability to enter data accurately. Ability to handle multiple tasks well. Detail-oriented individual with thorough knowledge of word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs (preferably MS Office). Must possess the ability to work with internal departments to accomplish objectives and meet established deadlines. Must be personable, self-starter, possess a good attitude, and enjoy external and internal contact on the phone and in person with supervisors, co-workers, customers, and potential clients.

Working Conditions:

Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) -

Working conditions include approximately 3 hours in warehouse dock conditions that are 0- 5 Celsius, walking in and out of the warehouse to the office. Office conditions are approximately 5 hours per day. In some cases, this position may require going into the freezer, -30 Celsius.

Physical Requirements (Lifting, standing, etc.) -

Ability to correctly input data into the computer. Able to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers whether in person, on the telephone, or through correspondence. Ability to sit and stand.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$25.60 - $42.66
