BWXT is looking for a Supply Chain Manager at their Erwin, TN location!

The Supply Chain Manager, NFS, leads and manages the supply chain team consisting of seven to ten employees, with responsibility for controlling the Supply Chain process, including all activities associated with procurement, receiving, distribution, and inventory control. Responsible for managing the procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, and services, and the receipt, movement, and shipment of all non-nuclear materials, and programs for the storage and distribution of non-nuclear inventory.

Duties & Responsibilities of Job:

  • Ensure departmental compliance with applicable Federal Acquisition (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).

  • Implement and manage Non-Nuclear Inventory Programs that ensure the appropriate items and quantities are stocked, including the accuracy of on-the-shelf quantities, as compared to the on-hand quantities shown online.

  • Manage the return of items, ensuring compliance with Local, State, and Federal Regulations.

  • Work closely with other departments, evaluating current policies and practices, seeking input for opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Ensure supply chain business systems are effective and maintain procedural compliance.

  • Provide leadership and knowledge to achieve and maintain status as an approved supply chain system.

  • Regualrly communicate with senior management regarding emergency purchases, critical deliveries, critical inventory items, and other areas as identified.

Requirements of the role:

  • Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of supply chain experience with two (2) years of management experience.

  • Extensive experience in management of materials, logistics, and purchasing.

  • Strong procurement, leadership, interpersonal, project management, and negotiating skills with high attention to detail.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.

Additional/Preferred Requirements:

  • CPSM/APICS certified preferred.

  • Experience in management of materials, logistics, and purchasing in support of federally funded projects.

  • Experience with SAP.

Pay: $92,000 - $142,000

The base salary range for this position in TN at the start of employment is expected to be between $92,000 and $142,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
