[]{#Hlk15270516}SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, the PMA Quality Assistant performs basic tasks associated with STC/PMA product development, supplier quality, production support and product conformity inspections. []{#Hlk500432009}[]{#_Hlk42678086}This position participates in practical training and develops experience to progress to a qualified PMA Quality Inspector.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists PMA Quality Inspector in maintaining ATS PMA listing.
  • Develops skills in quality interface with MIDO (hosts audits, PMA Manual reviews, PMA listing submittals, etc.)
  • Assists PMA Quality Inspector with conformity inspections in support of FAA DAR's for issuance of 8130-3 certs.
  • Develops knowledge in the PMA Quality Manual, PMA Supplier Manual, and related STC/PMA procedures/standards.
  • Assists PMA Quality Inspector during audit of commodity and service suppliers (either physical audit or assessment of 3rd party credentials).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • []{#Hlk15452178}[]{#Hlk167191928}Associate's degree in related field and minimum of one (1) year of recent experience in aviation-related quality assurance or manufacturing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Documented auditor formal training or experience (CASE, ISO, AS9100, etc.) preferred.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, stand and walk; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. []{#_Hlk15452254}The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

 

Road and air travel will be required in both US and Canada.

Compensation

The full base pay range for this position is $22.00 -- $31.00 (expressed as hourly for non-exempt), exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. The lower end of the range represents the target base pay for those beginning or developing in the role. The higher end of the range is intended for those who have mastered the role, with proven significant expertise, high achievement, and specialized skills. If you are hired at ATS, your hourly rate will be based on factors including skills, education and experience. In addition to those factors -- we consider internal equity of our current employees when determining offers. This position is eligible for an annual bonus. We also offer a generous benefits package, as detailed below.
