Actalent Mechanical Drafter in Everett, Washington

Looking for a Mechanical Drafter to join a renowned aviation company in Everett, WA!

Job Description

As a Mechanical Drafter, you will be translating engineering requirements into product definition data such as detail assembly, installation drawings, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) data, and Bill of Material (BOM) to communicate requirements to downstream customers. Your role involves validating completed product definition data to company and industry standards, creating and maintaining product definition data processes, and maintaining product/part structure and configuration management of product components. Your initial months will include extensive training, after which you will work in groups to ensure quality, pull packages from a queue to work on your own, and work closely with teammates.

Hard Skills

  • Experience in CATIA, CAD

  • Knowledge on the operations needed to create a 3D model

  • Knowledge on using 2D/3D dimensioning to define 3D parts

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite

  • Mechanically inclined (experience with machines, working on cars etc.)

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and coordination skills

  • Ability to identify if a project is not complete and see it through to the end

  • Self-starter, motivated to learn on their own

  • Good communication skills both remote and onsite

  • Ability to adapt while working multiple projects

  • Competitive spirit, driven by completing goals

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 52 Weekly.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Everett, Washington and some days remote.

Work Environment

The work locations are flexible with options in Washington state. Placement is determined to be as close to your home as possible. Overtime is not expected but could be a possibility based on business needs. While the split between sites is not crucial, having more heads is considered important
