Reference #: 12893 GENERAL DYNAMICS Land Systems Division Eynon, PA Facility General Dynamics Land Systems is a global leader in the design, development, production, support and sustainment of tracked and wheeled military equipment, specifically the Abrams Main Battle Tank and the Stryker Family of Wheeled Combat Vehicles.

HEAT TREAT/PLATE LABOR GRADE: 06 - Set up, operate, or tend heating equipment, such as heat-treating furnaces, flame-hardening machines to temper, harden, anneal, or heat treat metal.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to: Operate controlled atmosphere heat treat and normalizing furnaces. Load and space parts and maintain proper furnace operating conditions. Operate induction heat treating equipment. Operate plating tanks and equipment to cover parts (usually metal parts) with a metallic coating by a process of electrolytic deposition from a solution of metallic salts of the plating metal in which the object to be plated is immersed. Immerse parts in preparatory cleaning baths and place parts in plating tank. May also be required to handle/manage hazardous waste from time to time. Other duties as assigned.
