DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Your Role with Leidos QTC Health Services: As an Audiologist you will apply the principles of hearing science and audiology to formulate an Independent Medical Opinion (IMO) and/or independent medical exam to a unique claimant population of past and present military service members. The scope of practice of the audiologist is to provide a professional opinion to the severity of the hearing problem, the diagnosis, the causation, and assessing the probability that the hearing problem is related to military service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Responsible for administering and interpreting a variety of tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, such as air and bone conduction, and speech reception and discrimination tests, the site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech. * Evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational and conduct medical record reviews of past audiograms and documents to determine the likely cause of the hearing loss, and to state the prognosis and address the issues of hearing loss and tinnitus. * Operates computerized programs and utilizes application software and databases in order to enter, modify, and access information into/from electronic medical records, and utilizing report writing formats. * Maintains patient confidentiality with written and verbal information per HIPAA. * Responsible for conducting otoscopic examinations, cerumen management, and calibration checks of audiometric equipment. * Lead paraprofessional staff training for Audiology specific skills and certifications as required by all LOB. * Completion of Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs). * You will also have the ability to travel (up to 50%) to provide audiology examinations for clients in multiple locations throughout the country.

Competencies: * Demonstrates compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service and care to the claimants. * Collaborative, best proactive and informed standard of care-centric, decision-making skills. * Analytical ability necessary to evaluate and determine medical opinions. * Technically competent with computers/tablets to include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using Electronic Medical Records. * Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations.

Work Schedule, Location, and Other Information: * Generally Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00 pm with a 1-hour lunch from 12:00-1:00 pm. Possible infrequent weekends/evening coverage depending on clinic needs but max hours per week will be 40. * Clinic Address- 475 Riverstone Way #5, Fairbanks, AK 99709 * 3 weeks onboarding / training. * 12-20 patients daily (depending on exam duration, complexity, and business line being supported) with built in admin time. * Support staff including MAs to provide in clinic support. * We will pay for licensing, malpractice, CME costs, and more!

Starting Compensation Range: * Salary: $84,000-$162,000 * Leidos- QTC Health Services employees are eligible to receive an annual merit increase.
