Position Summary

As a Retread Technician you will be responsible for the retreading process of used tires, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Your role will involve inspecting, buffing, applying new tread and curing tires, following strict guidelines, and company protocols. The ideal person for this role will be have an eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills , the ability to follow detailed instructions and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects tires to be retreaded or repaired to determine condition, repairs needed, etc.

  • Apply rubber compounds to retread the tire-to-tire casing and hangs up to dry.

  • Curing retread tires.

  • Quality control of finished product

  • Checks finished tire with work order for proper identification and completion of work required.

  • Trims and paints finished retread Participates in training, follows safety procedures, job duties and company policies.

  • Be able to lift and/or move tires weighing between 30-250 lbs. with or without mechanical assistance.

  • Repetitive and sustained exertions, forceful exertions, awkward postures, mechanical stress concentrations, vibrations.

  • Any other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

  • Must have a highschool diploma or equivalent

  • Must be willing to undergo a Federal background check, drug screen and physical.
