GDIT is seeking a Business Systems Analyst – Data Management to join our team supporting the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Corporate Information Systems to provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Support Services of their Corporate Business Systems (CBSOM). As the Business Systems Analyst – Data Management supporting the DOE Integrated Data Warehouse (IDW) and iPortal. You will support DOE’s Corporate Business Systems, used by over 14,000 users to fulfill the agency’s mission to promote energy independence, progress scientific research, and protect the nation through nuclear security.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Collaborating with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision

  • Working with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements

  • Researching, reviewing, and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and developing strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes

  • Performing acceptance testing of new features, validating requirements are fulfilled and the resulting user experience is as designed

  • Performing system analysis and system development tasks

  • Participating in the QA of solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized

  • Translating conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team

  • Creating process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team

  • Developing and conducting peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted

  • Managing and tracking the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary

  • Possessing excellent English written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare and conduct presentations and prepare training material as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Comp. Sci., Bus. Admin, Mgt, Accounting or other related discipline with 3 years of relevant experience. Without a degree 4-5 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities at any given time

  • Ability to work with system owners, business owners, technical teams, and functional teams to design, implement, test, and validate a system`

  • In-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its use in management decision-making

  • Experience driving continuous improvement of business processes and technical operations.

  • Good team player, able to manage multiple assignments, and adapt to changing client needs

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to business leaders

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

  • US Citizenship

  • Preferred qualifications (optional)

  • Experience with ServiceNow for incident management, problem management, and service request management

  • Functional or technical experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX) platform

The likely salary range for this position is $63,750 - $86,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
