Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst- Project Manager with a Secret clearance to support KDS and our government customer in Fairfax, VA.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Minimum of 5 years consecutive hands-on experience working Cybersecurity tasks/duties in a computing environment supporting host-based and network-based security IAW US government guidance and policies.

  • Experience using the NIST RMF processes for security compliance accreditation and certification experience with Federal or DoD certification and accreditation processes.

  • Experience with DISA STIGS and NIST Cybersecurity related Special Publications. Experience with DoD approved vulnerability scanning tools.

  • Experience with writing, formatting, developing, screening, and publishing of cybersecurity technical and policy type documents.

  • Possess exceptional communication skills, able to articulate program structure to various professionals.

  • Must have RMF experience with facilitating at least two packages from Step 1 of the NIST RMF process thru Step 5 and have obtained a favorable ATO from a DoD Authorize Official

  • Must have NIST SP 800-53 rev4 Security Controls experience to include (but not limited to), in-depth knowledge of individual AP families, difference between an AP and CCI.

  • Must have experience with performing internal auditing of security controls on existing documentation, Systems, and significant computing/network components IAW DoD, NIST, and best business practices.

  • Have proficiency with writing policy and SOP’s and be able to demonstrate this ability.

  • Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading, editing, and oral communication skills.

  • Must be a self-motivated individual that requires little oversight.

  • Must be able to work as part of a team.

  • Must be able to manage time and priorities effectively and efficiently to meet suspense periods.

  • Must have the ability to interview and apply complex and abstract knowledge gathered from SME’s, System Administrators, and System Owners into clear and coherent writing.

  • Must have experience with vulnerability scanners and other network and host-based security tools.

  • Must have experience with Microsoft Operating System, Networking operations, embedded operating systems, and other related computing components and how they interconnect to support a larger system.

  • 5 years of Information Technology (IT) Project Management and Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Secret Clearance required

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to:

  • Create Network Architectural drawings depicting an Information Systems Accreditation Boundary using Visio or other similar drawing package.

  • Validate the hardware and software components within an accreditation boundary.

  • Provide a sample of your work with creating Policies/Procedures or some type of a Core document.

Must be proficient in the following tools:

  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio

  • Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)

  • SharePoint 2010 or later

  • DISA STIG Viewer

  • NIST SP 800-53 Security Controls

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
