Manufacturing Group Lead

What will you do?

  • Responsibility for the daily distribution activities, productivity and quality within assigned department (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control).

  • Provide leadership and assistance with the daily operation of the department to meet all daily objectives.

  • Assist employees with exceptions and problem resolution to ensure accuracy within the department.

  • Coordinate with Supervisor to ensure that staffing levels are appropriate to meet department and launch time goals.

  • Organize and direct workflow for the department when supervisor is unavailable

  • Provide instructions about standard operating procedures, material handling equipment and help in resolving problems.

  • Train temporary employees and new hires.

  • Assist the supervisor in maintaining a safe, injury-free work environment.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience

  • 2+ years of general manufacturing experience, plastics molding knowledge is a plus

  • Leadership experience and desire is preferred

  • Experience with computers, MS Outlook, SAP, Oracle, Trackwise - preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Desire to work within a team, but also able to work independently and solve problems quickly

  • Ability to read and write in English

  • Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and move about the operations environment (involving walking, stooping, bending, and reaching) required

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $20.93–$34.89.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
