Aerotek Wirefeed Welder in Fargo, North Dakota

Custom Shop Welder

Description:

In this postion, candidates will utilize welding and fabrication experience on a daily basis. Some common products that candidates will be working on are tillage equipment, storage tanks, fertilizer spreaders, HVAC equipment for ethanol plants, and other custom metal products. With such a variety of products that are being manufactured, candidates can count on having a change in what is being worked on from week to week.

Common duties inlude:

  • Welding on agricultural equipment with MIG welders

  • Training on or learning blueprints to layout products

  • Working alongside other welders and leads to complete projects efficiently

  • Fabricating material and cleaning up welds with a grinder

  • Operating overhead crane as needed to move products

  • Communicate with other departments to ensure product flow is smooth and efficient

  • Help train in new hires once comfortable

Hours: Monday to Friday

6:00am to 4:30pm (Occasional Half-Day Friday)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Blueprint and layout experience is a huge plus and preferred but not mandatory

  • Prior welding experience or education in required
