Kyyba, Inc. has an opening for the position of Controls Specialist (Ref# CS614SW) to work in Farmington Hills, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Job Duties: Provide support for all plant floor related automation control-based systems supported by the automotive client ICT (information and communication technology) organization. Support implementation of system changes, support of daily plant activities relating to these systems, and system management including the implementation of client ICT standards and incident management. Contribute technical support for plant ICT process equipment, tools, and applications during production activities. Program and troubleshoot automation control systems. Perform implementation and first-level support of mission critical plant floor systems. Support all critical plant floor systems, including plant floor control systems used by local plants, troubleshooting system issues, debugging associated PLC (programmable logic controller) code and hardware, and configuring system servers, PLC drivers, and client interfaces. Configure, install, support, and troubleshoot plant required applications, communication protocols, and network interfaces used to support plant automation systems as well as ICT supported platforms. Read, write, and understand the PLC programs, electrical schematics, troubleshooting and modifying automation system related issues. Monitor installation and configuration of new process equipment on the production floor. Perform basic hardware support as well as local security management and user maintenance. Ensure application of all documentation requirements and adherence to all standard client processes. Execute quality improvements by narrowing down the errors in production and product quality using Kaizen techniques. Travel and/or relocation required.
Requirements: This position requires a Master's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field. Plus 6 months of experience in the job offered or 6 months in a related occupation including Controls Engineer or related experience. Position requires 6 months of experience with PLC. 40hrs/week.
