Delaware North Gaming is hiring a part-time Security Officer to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As a Security Guard, you will maintain a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. Shift: Saturday and Sunday 11:45 PM - 8:00 AM

Pay

$19.79 - $19.79 / hour

Responsibilities

  • Enforce rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the unit, company, and local gaming commission.

  • Enforce all departmental and organizational policies and procedures and report incidents.

  • Observe and report procedural violations and illegal activity.

  • Complete forms and paperwork by the end of each shift.

  • Demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations and maintain guest goodwill.

  • Operate motorized vehicle when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Must be a state certified security guard and be able to be licensed by state gaming Commission.

  • Ability to demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations and maintain guest goodwill.

  • Highly motivated and takes initiative.

  • Team-oriented; ability to work effectively with others.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, pass an MVR check, and take a drug test.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, stooping, lifting, reaching, pushing, and remain sitting on occasion.

  • Visual acuity sufficient to identify potential security violations.

  • Hearing ability sufficient to respond to the spoken voice, audible alarms and two-way radios.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to handle guest items and various equipment.

  • Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.

  • Exposure to all weather conditions.
