Delaware North Gaming is hiring a part-time Security Officer to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As a Security Guard, you will maintain a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. Shift: Saturday and Sunday 11:45 PM - 8:00 AM
Pay
$19.79 - $19.79 / hour

Responsibilities
Enforce rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the unit, company, and local gaming commission.
Enforce all departmental and organizational policies and procedures and report incidents.
Observe and report procedural violations and illegal activity.
Complete forms and paperwork by the end of each shift.
Demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations and maintain guest goodwill.
Operate motorized vehicle when necessary.
Qualifications
Must be a state certified security guard and be able to be licensed by state gaming Commission.
Ability to demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations and maintain guest goodwill.
Highly motivated and takes initiative.
Team-oriented; ability to work effectively with others.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
High School Diploma or GED
Must have a valid driver’s license, pass an MVR check, and take a drug test.
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, stooping, lifting, reaching, pushing, and remain sitting on occasion.
Visual acuity sufficient to identify potential security violations.
Hearing ability sufficient to respond to the spoken voice, audible alarms and two-way radios.
Manual dexterity sufficient to handle guest items and various equipment.
Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
Exposure to all weather conditions.
