DAVIS COMMUNITY HOUSING AUTHORITY Housing Specialist in FARMINGTON, Utah

Assists the agency in providing decent, safe and affordable housing for people with lower income. Coordinates program operations and administrative activities within the Housing Choice Voucher rental assistance program in accordance with HUD regulations.

Certifies participants for continued rental assistance, informs clients and participating landlords of their responsibilities, schedules inspections and renews contracts. Responsible for monthly Housing Assistance Payments for assigned clients. Utilizes proprietary software for all client information and responsible for upkeep of client files.

Performs clerical and accounting duties including calculating rents and rental overpayments. Responds to emails, phone calls, and correspondence in a timely and responsible manner. Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in both verbal and written form.

Preferred Qualifications: Two years of full-time paid work experience directly related to the above summary of duties. Must possess a valid Utah driver license. Knowledge of human relations, communications, as well as ethnic and economic diversity. Ability to respectfully handle various interpersonal situations and work effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.

Excellent computer and keyboarding skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a broader team.

Salary commensurate with experience. Additional pay available for those who can fluently communicate in Spanish, Arabic, or Somali.
