SOUTHWEST TECH Foundation Director in FENNIMORE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Administers fundraising programs, including: o Manage donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and recognition. o Major gifts Coordinate work of volunteers, staff, and consultants in developing strategies, identifying and cultivating donors, developing case statements, preparing collateral materials, and securing funds. o Annual fund drive Develop strategies and implement annual fund drives, including coordinating work with volunteers, and preparing printed materials. o Grant development and management Research and prepare and/or provide oversight to third-party grant writers preparing private grant applications, including those to corporate, private and public foundations, and philanthropies. Administers and contributes to the work of the Foundation, including: o Development and management of the operating budgets for the Foundation o Attend and participate in Foundation Board meetings and activities. o Implementation and assessment of the strategic plans and projects. o Supervise department personnel and their professional development. o Daily operations of the Foundation Office. o Provide and foster customer service to on- and off-campus stakeholders. o Oversee scholarship award and recognition process. o Represent the Foundation at community events and in community organizations. o Development of the annual report and other materials. o Compliance with Foundation and College policies and procedures. Develops plans to increase monetary donations from alumni and other individuals and/or organizations, including: o Identifying and implementing approaches to increase donor capacity and build non-profit partnerships. o Contacting internal and external stakeholders, such as alumni, current and potential donors, and other partners, through various methods of communication. o Creating and maintaining a portfolio of gift prospects from alumni, friends, and other interested constituencies. Plans and implements alumni development initiatives to increase alumni engagement, build relationships with alumni, and undertake fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Surveys and meets with alumni and determines appropriate programs that increase engagement and giving. Assists in the planning and organizing of college-sponsored, fundraising, in-person, and/or online events to build partnerships, promote the annual giving program, increase current and potential donor engagement, and increase college revenues and profits. Serves as an inspiring and powerful ambassador for the college among its external constituents generally and with workforce and community partners specifically. Establishes and cultivates relationships with former employees as friends, supporters, and donors of the college. Ability to work some evenings and weekends. Customer service principles. Public relations principles. Applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, rules, and regulations. Methods of developing program plans. SKILLS Ability to establish and work within a team environment. Using a computer and related software applications. Coordinating fundraising programs. Identifying, cultivating, and soliciting current and potential donors. Analyzing giving patterns. Strategizing campaign activities. Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interact with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, and others sufficient to exchange or convey information and build relationships with donors.
