How you’ll shape the future of the Utilities Department:
Provide leadership for approximately 15-20 employees in the Recovery department.
Assure safety of mill personnel and security of mill assets
Manage performance of assigned personnel including training, coaching, feedback and progressive discipline.
Schedule and conduct shift communication meetings.
Create shift schedules to include work assignments, vacations, overtime assignments, vacancy back up for absences, and shift rotations.
Manage appropriate staffing levels and monitor resource utilization,
Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses and ensure proper emergency response, if needed.
Approve time worked of all personnel assigned.
You’ll be someone who can bring:
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2-5 years’ experience OR 5+ years in utilities, power plant operations.
Demonstrated leadership including lead person or supervisor back up experience.
Experience in pulp and paper systems operations preferred.
Computer knowledge; MS Office 365, email, teams, etc.
